Senior Software Engineer, Java – Patching

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop extensive software applications utilizing Java and Kotlin.

• Play a key role in the Patching team's platform dedicated to identifying, packaging, and deploying OS and third-party software patches.

• Create and enhance patch management software that caters to millions of endpoints.

• Uphold quality standards and implement rigorous quality testing methodologies.

• Write and commit code, ensuring timely delivery of products.

• Apply design patterns to address enterprise-level software challenges.

• Collaborate closely with AI workflow, server, platform, product design, and product owner teams.

• Occasionally assist in developing UI components for patching workflows and dashboards.

• Execute additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant professional experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in Java software development for product applications, or a comparable background.

• More than 5 years of experience with highly scalable software systems.

• Proven ability to work on large-scale systems and devise solutions for system scalability.

• Solid understanding of OOP design principles.

• Proficiency in scaling data structures and object-oriented design.

• Familiarity with API best practices and REST service development using Jersey or Spring.

• Experience in relational database design and development.

• Competence in both client- and server-side development for responsive messaging.

• Knowledge of caching systems; experience with Redis is a plus.

• Advanced understanding of quality testing practices.

• Experience with React and/or Angular is a bonus.

• Must reside in an eligible U.S. state.
