VP, Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee AI and digital strategy projects from initial opportunity identification and problem formulation to prioritization, roadmap development, and pilot planning.

• Analyze customer journeys, operational processes, and decision-making points to uncover possibilities for automation, AI, and digital solutions.

• Develop and present business cases that quantify benefits, establish KPIs, and ensure alignment among executive and operational stakeholders.

• Create lightweight prototypes, agent demonstrations, and proof-of-concept experiences.

• Collaborate with client subject matter experts (SMEs) to transform institutional knowledge into AI-ready resources, such as prompt libraries, evaluation examples, and retrieval corpora.

• Establish governance frameworks addressing responsible AI principles, privacy, human-in-the-loop controls, and escalation pathways.

• Validate concepts early with actual users and operational teams, making adjustments based on gathered evidence.

• Facilitate communication between business and technical teams across design, data, engineering, and change management.

• Utilize AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma AI, along with relevant agentic frameworks.

• Conduct executive briefings, ideation workshops, and process redesign sprints.

• Cultivate trusting relationships with senior client stakeholders, effectively communicating findings, trade-offs, and recommendations.

• Direct prioritization and scoping decisions by balancing value, feasibility, risk, and timelines.

• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to their professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis, management consulting, product strategy, or a similar field.

• In-depth knowledge of AI concepts, including LLMs, RAG, copilots, agents, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI principles.

• Proven experience in prototyping and deploying AI products and workflows in production using Microsoft Azure Foundry and Azure Foundry Agent Service as the primary cloud platform.

• Established track record of leading discovery and strategy from start to finish, including stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, opportunity assessment, prioritization, and roadmap development.

• Experience crafting executive-level narratives and aligning senior stakeholders across business and IT domains.

• Strong practical experience with AI tools for strategy, prototyping, and enhancing productivity.

• Hands-on experience in prompt engineering, agent workflows, and lightweight AI prototyping.

• Demonstrated ability to independently facilitate workshops and working sessions that quickly bring clarity to groups.

• Practical knowledge of transitioning from pilot phases to scaling, including data readiness, change management, adoption, and governance considerations.

• Familiarity with agentic frameworks.

• Background in a consulting or client-facing role is advantageous.
