VP, Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the active roadmap, planning cycles, and execution of deliveries for Stellar’s product squads, which include Total Cost of Care, EHR and Integrations, and the Data Platform.

• Transform Stellar’s product strategy into actionable results through consistent and high-quality delivery.

• Build and manage a team of 4 Product Managers.

• Take charge of squad-level strategy and execution while reporting to the SVP of Product.

• Influence the planning, hiring, and growth of a 4-squad product organization, and establish effective product management practices.

• Serve as a liaison across Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Implementations, Operations, and Growth.

• Oversee daily delivery and act as the main escalation point for all 4 Product Managers.

• Recruit, mentor, and retain Product Managers; conduct performance reviews and support career development.

• Ensure accountability among Product Managers for capacity planning, root-cause analysis, trade-offs, stakeholder alignment, metrics, and estimations.

• Manage capacity tracking and execution metrics across all squads; identify and mitigate potential risks.

• Develop and maintain the roadmapping process, including cadence, format, and traceability from OKRs to projects.

• Establish, enhance, and phase out team processes as required.

• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to guarantee consistent, high-quality delivery.

• Partner with Product Marketing, Operations, and Growth to promote awareness and drive adoption.

• Align Technical Implementations, Enterprise Analytics, and DevOps with the product squads.

• Develop and communicate perspectives on Stellar’s initiatives, and engage in constructive disagreement when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in product, technology, healthcare, or a combination of these fields, with at least 6 years in product management, demonstrating career progression and increased responsibilities.

• At least 5 years of experience in people management, including oversight of a multi-person Product Management team — focusing on hiring, coaching, and performance management, beyond just individual execution.

• Proven experience in managing a roadmap or capacity governance process across multiple teams.

• Ability to hold Product Managers accountable to a plan without possessing in-depth domain expertise for every squad they oversee.

• Comfortable working without formal authority over related functions — skilled at building collaborative agreements with other departments and appropriately escalating conflicts.

• Background in healthcare or health-tech is advantageous, especially in value-based care, as several squads focus on EHR integration and VBC.
