VP, Product Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create a product vision and develop working prototypes for the cutting-edge sports application.

• Lead strategic visioning and design output in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Make product decisions that are aligned with the executive team's goals.

• Provide data-driven insights for product planning and influence key business priorities and metrics.

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering, VP of Data, and Chief Product Officer.

• Review workflows, engage directly in Figma, and prototype alongside the design team.

• Establish tools, workflows, and team structure for an AI-centric design practice.

• Build, mentor, and manage a design organization consisting of approximately 10 individuals.

• Set clear accountability for both team and individual deliverables.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, product, data, marketing, and commercial leadership.

• Report directly to the Chief Product Officer.

• A passionate sports enthusiast who actively uses the product, shares opinions, and allows that enthusiasm to reflect in their work.

• A seasoned design leader with a proven track record of hands-on craftsmanship at senior levels.

• Recent personal projects showcasing hands-on design skills.

• Experience in leading a design organization through transformative changes, particularly involving AI tools and workflows, within a company that delivers consumer products at scale.

• Strong, well-supported opinions on what constitutes an exceptional sports product, or a similarly habit-forming consumer product.

• The ability to defend product viewpoints in discussions with product and engineering leaders.

• Comfort in navigating uncertainty.

• Willingness to travel regularly.

• Experience in initiating or managing your own business or side project is a plus.
