VP, Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, mentor, and support the medical/scientific writing team.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert intricate scientific information into engaging narratives for various stakeholders.

• Evaluate scientific content across diverse project types to ensure excellence in client deliverables.

• Offer strategic guidance and scientific direction on publications, conference presentations, and medical education materials.

• Mentor and advise clients and internal teams on compliance with GPP 2022 and ICMJE guidelines while remaining adaptable to client SOPs.

• Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive publication plans for selected clients.

• Create and present scientific content for advisory boards, symposia, and internal training programs.

• Provide strategic insight on medical platforms, scientific lexicons, and key messaging documents.

• Work closely with client and account services teams to guarantee timely and budget-conscious project delivery.

• Assist in scientific strategy and provide counsel to US-based accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences is required.

• At least 7 years of experience in a medical communications or agency environment.

• Demonstrated success in both publications and medical affairs deliverables.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and client-facing abilities.

• Proven experience in leading medical teams within a medical communications agency.

• Experience in both scientific publications and medical affairs-led initiatives.

• Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone (EST).

• Experience with rare diseases is preferred.

• Some travel to client meetings, internal meetings, and/or conferences is anticipated.
