Volunteer Social Worker / Psychologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Offer counseling services to children, adolescents, and young adults up to 25 years old who are facing various challenges and concerns.

• Provide impactful support that enables individuals to take charge of their own well-being.

• Foster and advocate for solution-oriented thinking among users engaged in chat sessions.

• Collaborate with fellow counselors during flexible two-hour shifts of your choosing.

• Utilize available team members and resources to create a secure counseling atmosphere.

• Complete a thorough onboarding process that can be arranged flexibly.

• Conduct crisis counseling remotely with adaptable hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed bachelor’s degree in psychology, or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree accompanied by an additional qualification or significant counseling experience (mandatory internships are not acceptable).

• Psychotherapists in training or those qualified in procedures acknowledged under German psychotherapy standards.

• Physicians possessing an additional qualification in psychotherapy.

• Educators and teachers with relevant counseling experience.

• Social workers and social pedagogues with state certification.

• Other comparable qualifications may be considered upon individual assessment, provided they include substantial psychosocial counseling experience.

• Access to a PC or laptop for conducting counseling sessions.

• A mobile phone for registration on the platform.

• Basic familiarity with digital tools.

• Proficiency in the German language at the C2 level, with proof if necessary.

• Willingness to commit to at least two chat shifts monthly.

• Participation in supervision sessions.
