Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology – Pharma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a team of four employees within the MSAT department.

• Take on the overall responsibility for the global Manufacturing Science & Technology function.

• Manage international technology transfer initiatives from the planning stage through to successful execution.

• Ensure that manufacturing processes are technically sound throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Review and authorize technical documentation associated with product and process transfers.

• Conduct technical evaluations of external manufacturing partners and production facilities.

• Ensure adherence to international GMP and regulatory standards.

• Act as the technical liaison for complex pharmaceutical and manufacturing-related issues.

• Collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and external partners.

• Provide technical guidance for evaluations related to new product and transfer projects.

• Identify opportunities for optimization and continuously enhance global MSAT processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successfully earned a degree in a natural science, such as Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Science & Technology, Technology Transfer, manufacturing, or Process Development.

• Several years of leadership experience with a proven track record of employee development.

• Strong understanding of international GMP standards and regulatory guidelines.

• Experience engaging with international production sites and external manufacturing partners.

• A strategic mindset coupled with strong analytical and conceptual abilities.

• Excellent decision-making skills and a structured, solution-focused approach to tasks.

• Outstanding communication skills and a confident demeanor in an international setting.

• Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
