Volunteer Social Media Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

• Consistently monitor selected accounts within the humanist, civil society, and sociopolitical domains.

• Identify appropriate content for reposting and editorial initiatives.

• Research pertinent topics, ongoing debates, and significant awareness days.

• Generate concepts for original social media content and formats.

• Prepare and create posts, Stories, and Reels.

• Tailor content for targeted audiences on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

• Design and modify graphics and simple videos, utilizing tools like Canva.

• Assist in editorial planning.

• Contribute your insights and experience to enhance the development of social media communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with social media and a solid understanding of platform-specific content and formats.

• Background in creating or managing social media content, whether professionally or on a volunteer basis.

• Strong awareness of relevant topics, engaging content, and trending social media formats.

• Passion for sociopolitical issues, aligned with humanist principles and human rights.

• Proficient language skills, with excellent written and spoken German.

• Familiarity with standard digital tools.

• Organized, independent, and dependable work ethic.

• Experience with Canva or similar applications is advantageous.

• Experience with Reels and short-form videos, community management, social media strategy, or social media analytics is especially welcomed.

• No specific degree or formal training in communications or social media is necessary.
