This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Evaluate and assess disability claims to determine candidates suitable for vocational case management services.
• Review requests for accommodations and guide customers through an interactive process to achieve successful accommodation results.
• Provide consultative support to Claims teams by clarifying vocational and/or medical details.
• Assist in delivering high-quality vocational services and accommodation efforts related to ADA and PWFA requests.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a safe and timely return to work for claimants.
• Evaluate claimants’ return-to-work requirements via phone and outline work objectives.
• Manage a designated caseload for return-to-work and/or accommodation services.
• Design and implement comprehensive vocational and/or accommodation plans.
• Aid claims partners in grasping occupational demands, skill transferability, reasonable job accommodations, and policy language.
• Work alongside claims specialists, managers, nurses, behavioral health experts, and physicians to analyze medical documentation and formulate recommendations.
• Professionally communicate opinions via email, telephone, and written correspondence.
• Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related discipline.
• Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer and technical skills.
• Experience working with individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with a grasp of occupational titles and experience with transferable skills analyses.
• Familiarity with vocational resources such as the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, O*NET, ERI, OOH, and OASYS.
• Knowledge of ADAAA, PWFA, EEOC, and reasonable accommodations.
• Experience assisting individuals with disabilities in returning to the workforce through job-seeking skills training and job placement support.
• Background in insurance.
