Virtual Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and facilitate care for designated patients

• Engage in treatment and ongoing care planning

• Manage cases for assigned patients

• Conduct individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy sessions

• Share clinical insights with the treatment team and other relevant parties as needed

• Encourage the implementation of the therapeutic environment and daily program schedule

• Deliver compassionate and supportive patient care

• Provide on-call coverage when required

• Virtually connect with assigned patients, introduce the therapist's role, and outline treatment goals and expectations

• Reach out to pertinent family members and outpatient providers, following a signed release, to develop and execute care plans and coordinate discharge planning

• Document assessments, treatment, therapy, and discharge planning activities in the medical record

• Offer specialized therapy services, including Family, Art, EMDR, and SE as needed or assigned

• Gather materials and lead assigned group or educational sessions

• Complete syllabi or lesson plans for didactic groups and document as necessary

• Contribute to social services program development and performance improvement initiatives

• Communicate clinical concerns and treatment suggestions as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team

• Engage in performance improvement activities required for facility licensure and accreditation

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or a related discipline is required

• Must possess an independent state license; associate licenses are not acceptable

• A minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health is preferred

• Experience in specialty services such as Trauma, Chemical Dependency, or Eating Disorders is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Skilled in virtual meeting platforms including Zoom, GoTo Meeting, and Teams Meeting

• Two years of experience in providing Family Therapy, EMDR, sex addiction, or other trauma specializations is preferred if assigned to specialized therapy

• Must successfully pass a substance abuse screening after receiving an offer and before commencing work

• This position is safety sensitive
