Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Offer psychosocial support and educational resources for individuals, couples, and families aged 13 and older.

• Implement evidence-based mental health therapy practices.

• Conduct diagnoses, collaborate on care, develop treatment plans, and provide short-term counseling.

• Utilize assessment and treatment planning tools to ensure continuity of patient care.

• Establish and enhance the mental health practice at MinuteClinic.

• Connect with and assist patients within their communities.

• Work in partnership with the clinical care team.

• Provide therapy through virtual means and across various platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a current, active, and unencumbered California state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Demonstrate outstanding skills in diagnosis, care collaboration, treatment planning, and short-term counseling.

• Familiarity with evidence-based methodologies such as motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

• Possess a completed Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Must be licensed in California as an LCSW, LPCC, LMHC, or LMFT.

• If hired, willingness and ability to obtain additional state licensure is required.

• Preferred: experience with or a readiness to learn and adapt to virtual therapy delivery.

• Preferred: knowledge of the psychosocial aspects of illness and health.

• Preferred: comfort in using electronic health record systems and various platforms.

• Preferred: understanding of insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare billing requirements.

• Preferred: crisis intervention skills.

• Preferred: prior experience in a mental health clinic or hospital environment.
