Virtual Extensive Support Needs Educator, CA Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Utilize the educator portal to choose available job opportunities

• Instruct students using the school's curriculum via the district's virtual platform

• Create lesson plans that are in alignment with the classroom curriculum

• Encourage creativity and enthusiasm within the virtual learning space

• Engage and support student learning using relationship-centered approaches

• Monitor student grades and academic performance

• Participate in district professional development sessions and faculty meetings

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is physically present with students

• Provide virtual instruction and assist students in completing their courses

• Adhere to the school district's calendar as a 1099 independent contractor

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid California Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe Support Needs certification is mandatory

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Hold an active, state-issued teaching certification in the relevant field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator is required

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is necessary

• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and stable internet connection

• Participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration

• Provide a background check as part of the application process

• Previous experience in online teaching is advantageous
