This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage incoming and outgoing calls related to patient billing statements and collect overdue balances.
• Engage with patients through both inbound and outbound phone communications.
• Address inquiries related to medical bills and account status.
• Deliver customer service and prompt responses pertaining to benefits, billing, claims, payments, and associated issues.
• Review and evaluate insurance Explanation of Benefits to ascertain patient obligations, adjustments, and write-offs.
• Clarify charges and communicate requirements, policies, procedures, and resources concerning patient financial care services.
• Operate within a virtual Patient Contact Center setting.
• Assess individual performance while collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
• Moderate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to follow-through.
• Capability to multitask and navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.
• At least 1 year of experience in a patient contact center (call center) environment.
• A year of experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA and related regulations.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
