Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Provide patient care services utilizing a remote technology platform.

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health problem management, health counseling, and disposition planning.

• Offer education and treatment focused on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients aged 18 months and older.

• Counsel patients on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, safer sex practices, contraceptive care, and medication management.

• Educate patients on health maintenance and address patient care inquiries.

• Record all patient interactions in Epic/EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.

• Collaborate on patient care with both internal and external colleagues, including the wider patient-centered medical home.

• Participate as part of a patient care team that includes Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.

• Operate independently, manage priorities and resolve issues, take initiative, and advocate for patients and the practice.

• Available for PRN evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11 PM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess current, unrestricted licensure in FL, MA, and OH; qualified candidates need to hold active licenses in the specified states and be willing to obtain additional licensure if employed.

• Candidates must currently be licensed in one of the following states: D.C., DE, FL, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, NH, OH, RI, VT.

• A minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or its equivalent is required.

• Completion of a Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program is mandatory.

• Current National Board Certification is essential.

• A state of employment license is required to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills are necessary.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and capacity to multitask are needed.

• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility are essential.

• Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision is required.

• Proficiency in information management and technology is expected.

• Capacity for collaboration with professional colleagues is essential.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be necessary.

• Candidates must have 20+ hours of availability per week.

• Must have broadband connectivity, a quiet environment with a neutral background, and the ability to maintain patient privacy according to CVSH guidelines.

• Ability to view and read computer screens and electronic devices, operate computers and phones, and communicate clearly and hear patient responses is required.
