Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care utilizing a remote technology platform.

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of health issues.

• Offer health counseling and care planning for patients aged 18 months and older.

• Educate and deliver treatment regarding pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safe sex practices.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients.

• Provide counseling on contraceptive care and manage related medications.

• Inform patients on health maintenance and address patient care inquiries.

• Record all patient interactions in an EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.

• Collaborate on patient care with both internal and external colleagues, including those within the patient-centered medical home.

• Work effectively alongside Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.

• Operate independently, prioritize tasks, solve problems, take initiative, and advocate for both patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a current, unrestricted license in one of the following states: CT, GA, NC, ND, NJ, NY, PA, SC, SD, VA, WI, or WV.

• Willingness and capability to obtain additional licensure as necessary.

• A minimum of two years of relevant medical experience or its equivalent.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Ability to work independently and practice autonomously.

• Proficiency in information management and technology.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues to provide high-quality care.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be required.

• Completion of a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current National Board Certification.

• Valid state license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Access to broadband connectivity, a quiet environment with a neutral backdrop, and the ability to maintain patient privacy for remote care delivery.

• Competence in remotely interacting with customers, operating computers and phones, speaking clearly, hearing patient responses, and reading screens and electronic devices.
