Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care utilizing a remote technology platform.

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage various health issues.

• Offer health counseling and treatment planning for patients aged 18 months and older.

• Educate patients on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.

• Assess patients in primary care, acute settings, chronic illnesses, and transitional care.

• Deliver counseling and medication management for contraceptive care.

• Inform patients about health maintenance and address their care inquiries.

• Record all patient interactions in an EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.

• Collaborate on patient care with both internal and external colleagues, including the broader patient-centered medical home.

• Collaborate effectively within a patient care team that includes Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Operate independently, prioritize tasks, resolve issues, take initiative, and advocate for both patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted license in one of the following states: AL, AR, CO, IA, ID, IN, LA, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, TN, or TX.

• If selected for the position, willingness and ability to acquire additional licensure as necessary.

• A minimum of two years of relevant medical experience or its equivalent.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Capability to work independently and practice with autonomy.

• Proficient in information management and technology.

• Ability to work collaboratively with professional peers to ensure high-quality care.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in speaking and writing additional languages, such as Spanish, may be required.

• Successful completion of a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current National Board Certification.

• State license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Ability to interact with customers remotely, utilize computers and phones, communicate clearly, hear patient feedback, and read from computer screens and electronic devices.
