Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-informed care through a remote technology platform.

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage various health issues.

• Offer health counseling and care planning for patients aged 18 months and older.

• Educate and provide treatment options for pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.

• Assess patients in primary care, acute settings, chronic illnesses, and transitional care.

• Deliver contraceptive care counseling and manage related medications.

• Instruct patients on health maintenance and address their care inquiries.

• Record patient care in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in accordance with MinuteClinic protocols.

• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues along with the broader patient-centered medical home to coordinate patient care.

• Function as part of a patient care team that includes Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Work autonomously, prioritize tasks, resolve issues, take initiative, and advocate for patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current unrestricted license in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CA, HI, IL, MN, MO, MT, NM, OR, UT, or WA.

• At least two years of relevant medical experience or its equivalent.

• Completion of a Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Hold a current National Board Certification.

• Valid state license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse capacity.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Capable of operating independently and practicing autonomously.

• Proficiency in information management and technology.

• Ability to work collaboratively with professional peers.

• Depending on market needs, fluency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be required.

• Must have broadband internet access, a quiet environment with a neutral backdrop, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality for remote care delivery.

• Willingness to work three weekdays and every Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
