COB Verification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in resolving issues within the Oscar claims environment.

• Oversee the complete member data and payer eligibility process to facilitate accurate and timely claims processing.

• Initiate the recovery process by reaching out to payers and providers regarding overpaid claims and coordinating with internal teams.

• Make outbound calls to providers to clarify overpayment findings and settle disputes.

• Escalate provider inquiries internally as necessary.

• Keep thorough records of recovery activities, communications, and results in Oscar's systems.

• Support leadership in scoping, sizing, prioritizing tasks, and delivering solutions.

• Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Report directly to the Manager of Payment Integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in health insurance claims, claims recovery, or a related field.

• Proficient in basic Google Sheets and/or Excel.

• Must reside in Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; or Salt Lake City, Utah.
