Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide remote patient care utilizing a virtual technology platform.

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based assessments, diagnoses, treatments, health problem management, health counseling, and planning for patient disposition.

• Educate and treat patients regarding pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients aged 18 months and older.

• Offer patient counseling, contraceptive care guidance, and medication management.

• Instruct patients on health maintenance and address patient care inquiries.

• Record patient care activities in an EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic protocols and procedures.

• Collaborate on patient care with internal and external colleagues, including the broader patient-centered medical home.

• Participate in a patient care team consisting of Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Operate independently, manage priorities and problem-solving, take initiative, and advocate for both patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted license in AL, AR, CO, IA, ID, IN, LA, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, TN, or TX.

• At least two years of relevant medical experience or equivalent qualifications.

• Completion of a Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current National Board Certification.

• State license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks.

• Initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Capability to work independently and practice autonomously.

• Proficiency in information management and technology.

• Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to ensure quality care.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in speaking and writing additional languages, including Spanish, may be necessary.

• Access to broadband connectivity.

• A quiet environment with a neutral background for conducting visits.

• Ability to maintain patient privacy in accordance with CVSH guidelines.

• Availability to work a full-time weekend evening schedule: three weekdays and every Saturday and Sunday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
