Virtual ASL Educator, New York Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual ASL instruction to students through live-streaming sessions.

• Support students in completing their courses successfully.

• Implement the school district's curriculum using the district's virtual platform.

• Participate in professional development sessions and faculty meetings organized by the district.

• Document student progress effectively.

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is physically present with the students.

• Foster creativity and enthusiasm in the virtual learning setting.

• Develop strategies to engage students and cultivate their learning and relationships.

• Design lesson plans that are in line with the class curriculum.

• Monitor student grades and overall performance.

• Choose assignments through the educator portal based on your certification and availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid New York World Language (ASL) or American Sign Language teaching certification is mandatory.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must currently possess an active teaching certification issued by a USA state.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is necessary.

• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet connection is essential.

• Willingness to participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration.

• A background check must be submitted as part of the application process.

• Previous online teaching experience is advantageous.
