Video Editor – Narrative, Film

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Review videos and evaluate their editing quality.

• Detect issues such as awkward jump cuts, continuity errors, and uneven pacing.

• Assess whether the narrative or sequence is coherent.

• Compose clear explanations detailing what succeeds, what fails, and the reasons behind these judgments.

• Reference specific moments rather than offering vague feedback.

• Potentially engage in hands-on editing tasks in the future.

• Deliver editorial assessments for training an AI system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional editing experience with long-form content: short films, documentaries, wedding videos, long-form YouTube content, or television.

• Proficient in DaVinci Resolve, which is the primary software used.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• Capable of articulating your editorial decisions in writing, not just executing edits.

• A demo reel or portfolio showcasing works longer than five minutes.

• Must possess a computer that can run DaVinci Resolve efficiently and have a reliable internet connection.

• Experience in colour grading or sound editing is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience in taking structured notes from a director or producer is beneficial but not essential.
