Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute original footage that is either fully owned or openly licensed.

• Create detailed post-production editing briefs.

• Manage tasks from start to finish using personal editing software.

• Edit footage and add defects or distractors when necessary.

• Produce reference edits to establish benchmarks for correct results.

• Develop clear, verifiable grading criteria with editorial justification.

• Blind-solve tasks generated by fellow editors.

• Provide step-by-step solutions.

• Address inquiries regarding available footage, ownership, and participant consent.

• Assist in training and assessing AI agents to improve AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional editing experience in film and TV, commercials, broadcast news, or creator and social production.

• Capability to manage deliverables from start to finish.

• Proficient in at least one professional editing software: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.

• Basic skills in color and audio cleanup.

• Familiarity with delivery specifications such as resolution, frame rate, codecs, audio channel layouts, and frame-accurate cuts.

• Submission of a resume along with a link to a reel or portfolio is required.

• Completion of a brief AI interview regarding editing background.

• Must not reside in California.

• Must not need H1-B or STEM OPT support.

• Ability to work as an independent contractor is essential.

• Original footage must be entirely owned by the applicant or openly licensed.

• Individuals appearing in owned footage must sign an appearance release where applicable.
