Video Editor – Long and Short-Form

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Edit a high volume of vertical short-form videos for platforms such as TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and Facebook.

• Tailor video cuts to fit the native styles of each platform, including aspects like pacing, captions, safe zones, aspect ratios, trending audio, and formats.

• Transform raw footage, founder content, creator clips, and transformation shoots into various hook and format iterations.

• Repurpose long-form episodes into clips, carousels-to-video, and cutdowns while maintaining the narrative.

• Edit YouTube videos ranging from 8 to over 30 minutes, ensuring a structured story, retention-focused pacing, B-roll, music, and sound design.

• Construct intros, chapter breaks, lower thirds, and end screens.

• Collaborate on thumbnail design and titles with a focus on enhancing click-through rates and viewer retention.

• Develop motion graphics, animated text, transitions, and branded templates using After Effects.

• Stay updated on AI video tools and suggest methods to expedite production or experiment with new formats.

• Manage projects from initial brief to final delivery, encompassing footage organization, editing, self-QA, exporting, and handoff.

• Enhance and maintain editing systems, including templates, file naming conventions, folder structures, presets, LUTs, caption styles, and export settings.

• Track progress in ClickUp and provide updates throughout the production pipeline.

• Quickly implement revisions and incorporate feedback into subsequent edits.

• Operate fully remotely in an asynchronous-first environment using shared drives, Frame.io, and ClickUp.

• Engage in daily check-ins during overlapping hours with Pacific Time and provide written updates.

• Deliver short-form edits generally within 24 hours of the briefing and revisions within one business day.

• Generate approximately 15 to 25 short-form videos and 1 to 2 long-form videos each week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience, showcased through a portfolio that includes both short-form and long-form projects.

• Advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

• Practical experience with Higgsfield AI, including examples of AI-generated or AI-assisted footage used in completed edits.

• Demonstrated experience editing for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Understanding of the unique content requirements for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Ability to maintain a fast, repeatable workflow through effective project organization, templates, and presets.

• Strong intuition for crafting hooks, pacing, storytelling, and sound design.

• Proficient written English skills for asynchronous communication, briefs, and feedback.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet.

• A capable editing machine.

• Ownership of an Adobe Creative Cloud license.

• Availability of at least 4 hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time (PT).

• Familiarity with other AI tools such as Runway, Kling, Veo, ElevenLabs, CapCut AI features, or Topaz.

• Experience in branding, direct-to-consumer (DTC), beauty, wellness, or transformation/before-and-after content.

• Skills in thumbnail design for YouTube.

• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for color grading.

• Comfort with analyzing organic analytics such as retention curves, watch time, saves, and shares.

• Experience with Frame.io and ClickUp or similar project management and review tools.

• Ability to utilize Higgsfield AI for generating and extending shots, B-roll, product visuals, scene transitions, and stylized effects.

• Capability to seamlessly integrate AI-generated assets with live footage.
