Video Editor, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Edit approximately two long-form YouTube videos each week using raw footage provided by clients.

• Organize and assemble footage into sequences in alignment with reference content and creative direction.

• Implement revisions and integrate feedback effectively.

• Transform long-form footage into engaging short-form social media clips and trial reels.

• Develop content variations while maintaining the intended messaging and visual quality.

• Deliver around 20 hours of short-form editing and an additional 20 hours of long-form editing weekly.

• Closely match provided YouTube references and examples.

• Conduct thorough reviews of work for pacing, audio, and visual consistency prior to delivery.

• Manage revisions efficiently and maintain organized project files.

• Ensure timely delivery of completed videos.

• Communicate proactively and seek clarification when needed.

• Take part in team check-ins and video meetings with the camera on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in professional video editing software, including Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

• Experience in editing long-form YouTube content and creating short-form clips.

• Strong English comprehension to grasp scripts, context, and creative directives.

• Excellent storytelling instincts, visual judgment, attention to detail, and receptiveness to feedback.

• Dependable attendance and a sense of accountability.

• Willingness to participate in video meetings with the camera on.

• Capacity to work approximately 40 hours per week.

• Professional editing experience in Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable software.

• Understanding of pacing, cuts, transitions, and audio cleanup tailored for YouTube-style content.

• Ability to reframe and repurpose horizontal footage into vertical short-form clips.

• Capability to create captions, text, and music as per stylistic requirements.

• Organized project files, version control, and backup systems in place.

• A computer featuring at least 8GB RAM and an Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor or better.

• Internet speed of at least 40MBPS.

• A headset with an extended noise-canceling microphone and a webcam.

• Access to a backup computer and internet connection.

• A quiet, dedicated workspace at home.

• A reliable internet connection.

• Personal computer with Intel Core i5 or similar specifications or higher.

• Availability to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM during US business hours.
