This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create videos focused on military, defense, and national security for Task & Purpose's military-oriented YouTube channel.

• Transform scripts, interviews, or field shoots into engaging, concise, and well-paced videos that capture viewer interest and foster loyalty.

• Report on military technology, tactics, procurement, defense policy, ongoing conflicts, and decision-making at the Pentagon.

• Design animations and graphics, including maps, charts, and diagrams.

• Source and verify suitable b-roll video and imagery.

• Execute picture editing, motion graphics and animation, music editing, sound design and mixing, as well as color correction.

• Incorporate team feedback within 1–2 days.

• Utilize YouTube delivery best practices, such as chaptering, thumbnails, formats, and current trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects.

• Capability to conceptualize and create animations and graphics, including maps, charts, and diagrams, from scripts with little to no guidance.

• Skill in sourcing appropriate and accurate b-roll video and imagery from various sources, ensuring proper usage rights and alignment with factual script content.

• Familiarity with military equipment and platforms.

• Ability to edit two 16-to-20-minute videos and four 10-minute videos each month, allowing 1–2 days for team feedback.

• Strong grasp of best practices for pacing, music selection, and video structure.

• Solid understanding of YouTube delivery components, including chaptering, thumbnails, formats, and current trends.

• 3–6 years of experience in editing and motion graphics; experience with YouTube is preferred.

• Curiosity, dependability, sound judgment, and a passion for simplifying complex issues.
