Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Transform raw footage into polished, compelling videos, including brand narratives, charity films, corporate and product videos, event highlights, and short-form social media content.

• Take the lead in editing emotionally resonant, narrative-driven projects utilizing interview footage.

• Assess and organize footage to pinpoint the most impactful content and construct cohesive stories.

• Conduct thorough research on each client’s brand, website, target audience, and creative vision prior to initiating projects.

• Provide strong initial cuts and integrate producer feedback through to final approval and delivery.

• Suggest enhancements to storytelling, pacing, structure, and content formats.

• Choose and edit music, sound effects, graphics, and titles as needed.

• Develop motion graphics, animated titles, and visual effects with Adobe After Effects when required.

• Execute colour correction, grading, and audio mixing tasks.

• Export and deliver videos in the appropriate formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios for web, social media, and broadcast platforms.

• Independently manage editing projects while meeting deadlines, quality benchmarks, and client specifications.

• Keep project files, footage, creative assets, and backups organized in team cloud storage.

• Utilize AI tools, editing plugins, and template libraries such as Mister Horse to enhance editing efficiency.

• Optimize editing workflows, establish best practices, and assist in systematizing production processes.

• Communicate project status, timelines, and obstacles to producers effectively.

• Collaborate with producers and the in-house editing team.

• Provide editing support during peak production times and team absences.

• Share editing knowledge, techniques, and best practices with the team.

• Stay informed about editing trends, techniques, software updates, and new features in Adobe Premiere Pro.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Video Editor, preferably within a video production company or creative agency.

• Experience collaborating with Australian companies or clients is highly preferred.

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential.

• Solid working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for creating motion graphics, titles, and animations.

• A polished portfolio or showreel showcasing storytelling skills across documentary-style films, brand narratives, corporate videos, and social media content.

• Proven experience in editing interview-based content and crafting emotionally impactful narratives.

• Strong grasp of video pacing, music selection, sound design, colour correction, grading, and visual composition.

• Demonstrated capability to produce high-quality first cuts and efficiently implement revisions with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with editing template libraries such as Mister Horse and practical experience with AI tools that enhance editing efficiency.

• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to comprehend creative briefs, accept feedback, and make revisions promptly.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.

• Ability to work independently, exercise creative judgment, and take ownership of projects from inception to conclusion.

• A genuine enthusiasm for video production, creativity, and storytelling.
