Freelancer Video Editor – Brazil Portuguese Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop Portuguese SRT subtitle files from audio of episodes utilizing the AI tool provided by Pocket FM.

• Merge English episode motion videos with their respective Portuguese audio to ensure synchronization between sound and visuals.

• Adjust English source visuals as necessary to align with the Portuguese narrative.

• Incorporate Portuguese subtitles into finalized motion videos and submit episodes for a quality control assessment.

• Create Portuguese SRT subtitle files for stills episodes.

• Employ English image sheets, Portuguese audio, and SRT files within the Client-designated AI tool to produce the final stills videos.

• Evaluate stills videos for clarity of subtitles and their correspondence with Portuguese audio.

• Present completed episodes for quality control evaluation, address any feedback received, and resubmit until final approval is obtained.

• Work alongside the content team and stakeholders regarding source materials, narrative alignment, feedback, and delivery specifications.

• Adhere to content standards and production protocols.

• Oversee assigned episodes while communicating progress, delivery status, and potential obstacles to the reporting manager.

• Deliver refined videos within the agreed-upon production timelines.

• Utilize Client-provided AI tools and embrace new tools, templates, and production methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in professional video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.

• Proven experience in editing narrative video content and precisely synchronizing visuals with audio tracks.

• Familiarity with subtitle creation and SRT file management, including timing, clarity, and positioning.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted tools for video, image, or subtitle generation and a willingness to utilize Client-designated applications.

• Solid grasp of visual continuity, pacing, and story-driven editing principles.

• Strong storytelling ability with a knack for making visual choices that enhance the narrative.

• Exceptional attention to detail, especially concerning audio synchronization, subtitle precision, and continuity.

• Capacity to handle multiple assigned episodes while adhering to production deadlines.

• Collaborative attitude with the ability to accept, interpret, and act on quality control feedback.

• Dependable communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving production challenges.

• Proficiency in both English and Portuguese is essential.

• Basic understanding of English is required to review English source videos and image sheets.

• Familiarity with the Brazilian content market and audience preferences is preferred.
