This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and motivate a diverse global engineering team across various locations, including the US, Argentina, Europe, and India.
• Manage a significant business portfolio that supports a global operation with considerable revenue streams.
• Develop and implement a unified technology vision and architectural roadmap.
• Supervise engineering, software development, DevOps, ProdOps, QA Automation, and maintenance for essential product lines.
• Collaborate with the CTO, General Managers, and other key executives to shape and execute the Retail Technology vision.
• Deliver cutting-edge retail solutions to the global market.
• Align software strategies with overarching business objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship as part of the global Engineering Management Team.
• Cultivate a high-performing software organization.
• Implement cost-efficient product development strategies within the retail solutions sector.
• Propel innovation in software engineering and development methodologies.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant software and firmware solutions.
• Oversee comprehensive testing strategies and quality objectives.
• At least 10+ years of experience in a leadership position within the retail solutions industry or a pure-play tech company.
• Extensive knowledge of leading technology providers and contemporary cloud systems.
• Executive presence with a demonstrated history of engaging with large customers and peers.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of delivering executive-level presentations.
• Experience in managing large engineering teams (100-250+ members).
• Proven track record of developing innovative large-scale solutions, including next-generation POS applications, IoT, and cloud-based systems that are well-architected and scalable.
• Thorough understanding of industry security standards and PCI certifications.
• Proficient in leading software development on cloud-native systems using modern architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with modern tech stacks, encompassing front-end, back-end, cloud, and various database technologies.
• Strong technical foundation in software and firmware development.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
