Lead Software Engineer – Golang, TypeScript, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assume technical leadership of a high-impact, customer-oriented product.

• Take responsibility for the quality of code and architecture produced by the team.

• Mentor, influence, and manage engineering team members.

• Ensure alignment within the team regarding goals, outcomes, and timelines.

• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to convert the strategic roadmap into actionable tasks.

• Provide transparency on delivery progress to stakeholders outside the team.

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications.

• Create efficient interfaces guided by the design system.

• Enhance the performance and observability of services and applications.

• Elevate team and business quality of life through automation, process improvements, or the adoption of new technologies.

• Engage with stakeholders across the business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in line management and coaching engineers.

• Proficiency in developing Golang services and web application backends, with deployment in Docker containers.

• Ability to write efficient SQL.

• Experience in creating componentized application frontends using React/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with clean code principles along with TypeScript and Go idioms.

• Background in code review and establishing quality standards within the team.

• Capacity to learn and engage with a new business domain and product.

• Skill in conveying complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience or interest in AI technologies.

• Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5 EST/EDT.

• Potential requirement for on-call support.
