This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take the lead on the OnBoard program, managing a portfolio of startup clients while contributing to the strategy and expansion of the program.
• Develop, nurture, and mentor a dedicated team of startup specialists.
• Oversee essential relationships with founders and clients, including managing contracts and budgets.
• Support founders in public relations efforts, setting expectations and preparing them as spokespersons.
• Collaborate with clients to establish goals, KPIs, and business objectives.
• Offer strategic advice on media plans and campaigns.
• Assess PR objectives and evaluate outcomes.
• Propel media results through outreach initiatives and creative story development.
• Provide strategic guidance on written content, encompassing ideation, execution, and amplification.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained across all OnBoard accounts.
• Spearhead agency development initiatives, programs, and events, covering aspects such as agency marketing, employee onboarding and recruitment, and off-site activities.
• Facilitate skills enhancement and professional growth across the agency.
• Coach and mentor team members while conducting annual performance evaluations.
• Advocate for agency values and brand both internally and externally.
• Act as a vital member of senior management, making strategic decisions for the agency, its accounts, and its personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in client or agency PR/communications.
• Extensive experience with early-stage startups and their founders.
• Proven ability to achieve significant media results, including securing top-tier coverage for lesser-known companies.
• Familiarity with the daily tech news cycle and insights into what makes a startup or founder newsworthy.
• Exceptional presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on setting and maintaining high standards.
• Innovative and creative mindset.
• Excellent writing capabilities.
• Proven track record of growing account teams, client relationships, and agencies or companies.
• Experience or demonstrated expertise in talent development at all levels.
• Experience or proven ability to manage multiple key stakeholders effectively.
• Capacity to set realistic client expectations and provide insightful analysis of PR outcomes.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to represent the agency to key audiences.
• Experience in a PR agency setting.
• Experience in in-house PR/communications roles.
• Must be based in the United States.
