📋 Description

• Lead and enhance the Delivery/PMO leadership along with Capability Leads overseeing around 40 consultants, project managers, and specialists.

• Manage the delivery operating system encompassing capacity, staffing, utilization, hours billed, budgets, contract fulfillment, scope management, quality assurance, escalations, and portfolio margins.

• Establish a reliable framework for staffing, capacity assessments, delivery evaluations, escalations, resource distribution, and portfolio performance.

• Generate insights into profitability by project, capability, and individual, and take action based on the analysis.

• Enhance utilization rates, hours billed, budget adherence, contract fulfillment, scope integrity, quality, and gross margins.

• Examine scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing assumptions, pricing, and complex pursuits prior to commitments that could lead to delivery challenges.

• Make definitive decisions regarding allocations, personnel, budgets, and scopes when issues cannot be resolved at the leadership level.

• Substitute recurring workarounds and individual heroics with scalable, repeatable practices that align with revenue growth and headcount increases.

• Act as the executive sponsor for key accounts and provide senior operational insights during client, CEO, and business development discussions.

• Direct the integration of delivery aspects for future acquisitions.

• Collaborate closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and integration of acquisitions.

• Contribute to shaping pricing strategies, staffing configurations, investment and cost decisions, annual operational goals, new business expansion, net dollar retention, recurring revenue structures, and the productization of repeatable services.

• Establish command over delivery economics, operational cadence, and decision-making authority within the first quarter.

• Enhance leadership accountability, staffing and capacity review processes, utilization, margin transparency, and minimize CEO intervention within the first year.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant operational and leadership experience—typically 7+ years—responsible for teams, leaders, delivery quality, staffing, client success, and financial outcomes.

• Commercial proficiency in utilization, capacity, hours billed, project budgets, scopes, contracts, pricing, gross margins, and staffing trade-offs.

• Demonstrable success in building, improving, scaling, or significantly enhancing a real operational environment with quantifiable results.

• Strong judgment under pressure with the capacity to make clear decisions amidst incomplete information.

• Emotional intelligence to gain trust before implementing substantial changes and a hands-on ownership mentality while developing scalable systems.

• Credibility with technical professionals and senior clients without necessarily being the foremost technical expert.

• Quick learning ability, curiosity, and comfort in exploring automation and AI to enhance service economics.

• Experience with project-based services contracts, scopes, budgets, pricing, and delivery economics is advantageous.

• Experience in scaling or restructuring a services organization is beneficial.

• M&A integration experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with professional services automation, PSA, resource management, ERP, or delivery operations platforms is preferable.

• Background in public-sector contracting, GIS/geospatial, or technical consulting is advantageous.

• An MBA or equivalent graduate business training is beneficial.

• A bachelor's degree or comparable professional or military experience is expected; the field of study is not a disqualifier.

• Capability to work remotely within the United States.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

• Availability for full-time, exempt employment.

🏝️ Benefits

• An annual performance incentive may be provided, with a potential target of around $25,000; terms are not guaranteed.
