This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Propel business growth by fostering relationships with national strategic accounts.
• Lead a team composed of Directors and new account managers.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, influencers, and industry thought leaders.
• Develop, manage, and expand partnerships with assigned strategic national accounts.
• Clearly communicate Shockwave Medical’s clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing value propositions.
• Evaluate trends and the competitive landscape to enhance programs, processes, forecasts, and growth opportunities.
• Generate actionable insights for the management of Strategic Accounts.
• Represent the organization in high-level client meetings, negotiations, and presentations.
• Collaborate with sales AVPs, Regional Sales Directors, and account teams.
• Provide strategic insights on emerging trends, clinical needs, and market demands.
• Formulate and implement both short- and long-term strategic plans.
• Oversee the execution of contracts and agreements to boost sales volumes and partnership opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and other departments on market expansion and entry support initiatives.
• Uphold pricing discipline in line with corporate strategy.
• Implement contracts within sales teams to optimize pull-through.
• Work together with Sales Leaders, Marketing, Sales Operations, contracts, and other cross-functional partners.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with external customers and internal SWAV partners.
• Must currently reside in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, or Seattle; relocation is not offered.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 12 years of exemplary performance in medical device sales is necessary.
• Previous sales management experience in medical devices is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in medical device Market Access is preferred.
• Expertise in consultative approaches to intricate contracting mechanisms, program implementation, and reimbursement across various care settings.
• Exceptional presentation skills for executive and departmental leadership audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, challenge, and develop high-performing teams, including those in managerial roles.
• Capacity to establish relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Competence in negotiating large, complex, system-wide standardization agreements.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with the RFP process is essential.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States, estimated up to 50% of the time.
