This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Propel business growth by developing and managing relationships with national strategic accounts.
• Oversee a team of Directors focused on Strategic Accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, influencers, and leaders in the industry.
• Cultivate, manage, and expand partnerships with assigned strategic national accounts.
• Clearly communicate Shockwave Medical’s clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing value proposition.
• Examine trends and the competitive environment to enhance programs, processes, forecasts, and growth opportunities.
• Generate actionable insights to enhance the management of Strategic Accounts.
• Represent the organization in high-stakes client meetings, negotiations, and presentations.
• Collaborate with sales AVPs, Regional Sales Directors, and their teams.
• Provide leadership with strategic insights on emerging trends, clinical requirements, and market demands.
• Formulate and execute both short- and long-term strategic plans aligned with customer initiatives.
• Lead Directors and new account managers with a focus on execution, growth, and accountability.
• Establish contracts and agreements that enhance sales volume and partnership opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and other departments to develop market expansion and entry-support initiatives.
• Uphold pricing discipline in alignment with corporate strategy.
• Implement contracts across sales teams to optimize pull-through.
• Work alongside Sales Leaders, Marketing, Sales Operations, Contracts, and other cross-functional partners.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with external customers and internal SWAV partners.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 12 years of top-tier performance in medical device sales is essential.
• Previous sales management experience in medical devices is mandatory.
• At least 7 years of experience in medical device Market Access is preferred.
• Competence in a consultative approach to complex contracting mechanisms, program implementation, and reimbursement across diverse care settings.
• Outstanding presentation skills for both executive and departmental leadership audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.
• Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, challenging, and fostering high-performing teams, including people managers.
• Capacity to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage negotiations for large, intricate, system-wide standardization agreements.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Documented success in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the RFP process is essential.
• Candidates must currently reside in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, or Seattle.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States, estimated at up to 50% of the time.
