Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver compassionate and gentle in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care.

• Offer in-home euthanasia and hospice services for geriatric and terminally ill pets.

• Support families during the end-of-life process with empathy, patience, and professionalism.

• Assist families in making informed end-of-life decisions for their beloved pets.

• Foster relationships with local veterinary clinics to extend their care.

• Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation is maintained.

• Collaborate with medical leadership and support teams effectively.

• Engage in ongoing training, education, and clinical development.

• Operate independently in the field while receiving support from medical leadership, Veterinary Care Specialists, and operational teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary institution.

• Possess an active veterinary license in the state of practice, or the ability to obtain one.

• Hold a valid U.S. driver's license.

• Availability to work some weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

• A background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check to be conducted post-hire and before the start date.

• Must be compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and client-focused.

• Comfortable working independently in the field.

• Strong communication skills, especially in emotionally sensitive situations.

• Experience in hospice, palliative care, or possession of a Fear Free certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Comprehensive training will be provided.
