This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Verify previous employment, educational background, professional certifications, and references as part of Asurint clients' pre-employment screening processes.
• Conduct investigative research utilizing technology platforms and by reaching out to verifying parties.
• Document research results and perform data entry using proprietary software systems.
• Appropriately update order statuses.
• Provide professional customer service, both internally and externally, to address product inquiries or resolve issues.
• Manage confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Contact clients and external resources via phone or email to confirm information.
• Analyze gathered information to detect potential issues or inconsistencies.
• Perform comprehensive internet inquiries and searches to ensure verification fulfillment.
• Quickly and accurately locate information in compliance with relevant federal and state laws and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as necessary.
• Prior experience in customer service, research, or investigative roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with the legal/court system is advantageous.
• Experience in background screening is desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is essential.
• Knowledge of relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• If driving is part of the job, a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record for the company’s liability insurance are required.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.
• Ability to generally work standard Eastern Time Zone business hours.
• Some travel by personal vehicle and a valid driver's license may be required.
• Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
• Capability to lift light objects (less than 20 pounds) and carry them short distances (20 feet or less) is required.
