This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee sourcing and procurement efforts for designated NPI projects from initial concept to commercial launch.
• Act as the purchasing representative on cross-functional product development teams.
• Formulate sourcing strategies for new components, assemblies, tooling, equipment, and services essential for product launches.
• Identify, assess, onboard, and manage suppliers capable of meeting new technologies and product specifications.
• Ensure that supplier capacity, tooling, lead times, and manufacturing readiness are in line with launch timelines.
• Facilitate supplier engagement in design reviews, development activities, and technical discussions.
• Assist in sourcing initiatives across assigned indirect spend categories.
• Perform spend analysis to discover opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process enhancements.
• Manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs while leading supplier negotiations concerning pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
• Support stakeholder needs across Operations, Engineering, Facilities, IT, Finance, HR, Marketing, and other business functions.
• Create and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals and financial objectives.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Engineering on supplier qualification, validation, and approval processes.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and launch readiness.
• Initiate corrective actions and mitigation strategies when supplier risks are detected.
• Maintain sourcing timelines, milestones, deliverables, and project readiness metrics.
• Communicate risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and leadership.
• Assist in should-cost analysis, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, and value enhancement.
• Manage supplier, sourcing, contract, and procurement data in Oracle and related systems.
• Track procurement KPIs, sourcing milestones, supplier performance, and project readiness metrics.
• Develop spend analytics and reporting to support category management and sourcing decisions.
• Provide regular updates to sourcing leadership and project teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Materials Management within a manufacturing setting.
• This position does not qualify for employer-based sponsorship.
• Preferred: 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with NPI, product launches, supplier onboarding, or engineering change management processes.
• Experience in supporting medical device product development and commercialization efforts.
• Knowledge of supplier qualification, validation, quality systems, and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in leading strategic sourcing initiatives and category management programs.
• Familiarity with supplier cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership methodologies.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or CPIM are advantageous.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Value Engineering, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, RFQs, supplier negotiations, and commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of indirect procurement categories including capital equipment, tooling, MRO, facilities, logistics, professional services, and IT.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Product Development teams.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Microsoft Excel, and procurement tools.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
