This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development, preparation, revision, negotiation, execution, and complete life cycle of vendor contracts and change orders/amendments.

• Prepare and manage vendor contracts, purchasing, sourcing, and associated transaction documents.

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements as well as general business purpose agreements.

• Create or integrate vendor budgets, scopes of work, along with legal, financial, and operational terms.

• Ensure compliance with master agreements, company policies, procedures, applicable laws, and sponsor requirements.

• Offer contract management and policy compliance guidance to business units and project teams.

• Collaborate with Legal, Strategic Sourcing, Business Development, and Global Business Operations to formulate master service agreements, statements of work, change orders, and service agreements.

• Conduct risk analysis, identify contract risks and liabilities, and suggest mitigating provisions.

• Engage internal subject matter experts for information gathering, document preparation, contract issue evaluations, and pricing discussions.

• Manage the contract and issue approval processes, documenting necessary approvals and deviations.

• Lead negotiations to ensure compliant agreement closure.

• Analyze contracting activities to determine root causes and implement process enhancements that shorten development cycle time.

• Interact with vendors and business operations regarding contracting and change-order documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, or Finance, along with some contracts management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3-5 years of direct experience with a CRO or pharmaceutical company in negotiating vendor agreements.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Experience in process improvement and/or change management, or the potential to be mentored for development.

• Ability to work independently with assurance.

• Strong skills in planning, strategizing, managing, monitoring, scheduling, and analysis.

• Effective legal and business negotiation capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and dynamic environment.

• Proficient stakeholder management with cross-functional teams for process improvement and/or change initiatives.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate effectively via phone and in person with a high level of professionalism.

• Must be customer-oriented and capable of managing competing priorities while remaining flexible and adaptable in stressful situations.
