This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee all aspects of the vendor lifecycle for Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors, which includes developing and executing vendor strategy and prioritization, negotiation strategy formulation, cross-functional business collaboration, vendor oversight, performance management, and value realization tracking.
• Act as a strategic participant in sourcing events such as RFP, RFI, and RFQ.
• Establish sourcing requirements, assess vendor responses, and assist in negotiation strategies and final vendor selection processes.
• Enhance strategic vendor management practices, focusing on vendor prioritization, negotiation efficiency, benchmarking utilization, and stakeholder engagement.
• Draft, negotiate, secure approval for, and execute vendor contracts.
• Track vendors’ performance in relation to contracts, including performance guarantees and service level agreements.
• Maintain regular communication with internal business stakeholders regarding vendor performance.
• Engage in decisions regarding vendor disengagement or renewal, and assist in the disengagement or renewal process.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to boost overall vendor lifecycle efficiency.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure the Vendor Lifecycle adheres to applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Represent Vendor Alliances in internal workgroups and strategy meetings at the Department/Division level.
• Advise business units on processes and strategies that align, or do not align, with vendor contract terms and conditions.
• Assist in the development and modification of Capital's vendor strategy, encompassing sourcing, negotiation, oversight, and disengagement.
• Serve as an internal consultant to various business areas on vendor strategy and engagement.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Vendor Management, Vendor Contracting, and/or Vendor Procurement environment.
• Capability to manage a portfolio of vendors that are high impact, high-risk, and high-value.
• Proficiency in applying vendor tiering and prioritization frameworks.
• Ability to convert benchmarking and analytics into actionable negotiation strategies.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and SharePoint.
• Proficient in Contract Lifecycle Management software.
• Understanding of vendor tiering frameworks and portfolio segmentation.
• Familiarity with benchmarking tools and cost optimization practices.
• Knowledge of best practices in vendor oversight.
• Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong proficiency in vendor management practices.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, and decision-making skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a health-related field is preferred.
• Willingness to work over 40 hours per week.
• Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
