This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site evaluations of vehicle conditions for dealer clients within a designated territory.

• Safely locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer client lots.

• Confirm vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately input data into systems.

• Examine and record the condition of exterior and interior vehicle parts, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed features.

• Conduct basic mechanical assessments of powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.

• Identify and document damage, missing parts, and non-functional features.

• Establish trust and strong relationships with dealer clients.

• Inform clients about Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.

• Engage with dealers to boost inspection volume and ensure active participation.

• Leverage data, insights, and partner feedback to enhance inspection efficiency and productivity within the territory.

• Adjust to changes in daily appointments and schedules to guarantee dealer coverage.

• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.

• Utilize Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and tracking customer performance.

• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement and Lean process development.

• Meet production expectations and adhere to safety and health protocols.

• Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives.

• Comply with Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.

• At Level 2, independently oversee detailed inspections, schedules, client relationships, and territory growth.

• At Senior Level, conduct advanced inspections, act as a subject matter expert, mentor junior inspectors, and assist with onboarding.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required for Level 1.

• Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field, or any degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED, or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

• Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in a related field, or any degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience, or 7 years’ experience in a related field.

• Previous vehicle inspection experience is necessary for Senior Level.

• Strong automotive knowledge (both body and mechanical) is required for Senior Level.

• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is essential.

• Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.

• Minimal automotive knowledge is preferred for Level 1.

• 0–1 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 1.

• 1–2 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 2.

• 2–3 years of automotive-related experience is strongly preferred for Senior Level.

• 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
