VDC Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans for designated projects.

• Collaborate with internal project teams, stakeholders, architects, engineers, and trade partners.

• Ensure accountability among project partners is consistent with project timelines and BIM Execution Plans.

• Create 3D models for site logistics, 4D phase planning, and marketing or pursuit initiatives.

• Produce 3D virtual mockups and oversee coordination among design disciplines, subcontractors, and fabricators.

• Lead and facilitate 3D coordination efforts on projects of varying scales, from small to mega-scale.

• Advocate for VDC technologies both internally and externally.

• Generate 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D deliverables utilizing Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Fuzor.

• Assist the VDC Director and project teams in defining VDC scope, timelines, and budgets.

• Mentor and guide junior VDC staff.

• Employ BIM for visualization, constructability assessments, and project coordination.

• Train project team members on how to access and utilize VDC and BIM deliverables.

• Share lessons learned and feedback to enhance company processes and VDC standards.

• Aid in managing and updating VDC content libraries and standard operational documentation.

• Visit construction sites as necessary and travel by plane or car as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent experience in the AEC industry.

• 4-6 years of experience in planning and executing BIM and VDC at the project level.

• Advanced proficiency with BIM authoring software, including Revit, and 3D coordination tools such as Revizto and Navisworks.

• Experience in planning and executing laser scanning, including processing and creating deliverables from scan data.

• Preferred: 6-8 years of experience in planning and executing BIM and VDC at the project level.

• Preferred: Experience in setting up and managing projects in Revizto.

• Preferred: Part 107 certification and experience utilizing drones and related software to generate project deliverables.

• Preferred: Familiarity with 360 photo platforms and best practices for progress tracking.

• Preferred: Experience with 4D/5D modeling and animation using Fuzor, Synchro Pro, or similar software.

• Preferred: Experience in developing virtual mockups and collaborating on their execution.

• Preferred: Programming experience using Dynamo, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Experience in mentoring and developing less experienced VDC professionals.

• Strong understanding of construction delivery models, documentation, and sequencing.

• Ability to train and support both VDC and non-VDC personnel in workflows, tools, and technology.

• Excellent visualization skills to produce precise 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D deliverables.

• Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and best practices in LEAN and VDC.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds as regularly needed, operate a computer keyboard and mouse, hear and speak clearly, distinguish colors on graphs and charts, and occasionally travel to construction job sites.
