This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Provide expertise in therapeutic areas and products related to Vaccines & Antivirals for external medical stakeholders and initiatives within a designated U.S. territory.

• Strategize and implement independent Medical engagement with assigned external medical stakeholders.

• Stay informed about relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medications.

• Act as a liaison for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.

• Contribute to the strategy for Medical educational content and execute corresponding Field Medical tactics.

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues in headquarters Medical, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.

• Deliver scientific communications through live and virtual presentations, written correspondence, and telephone or virtual discussions.

• Enhance patient-care outcomes through optimized Medical communications and deliverables.

• Educate external medical stakeholders about patient-care deficiencies, disease states, and guideline-driven care.

• Provide approved medical content regarding Pfizer medications and related subjects.

• Educate on clinical and economic implications utilizing real-world data, pharmacoeconomic evaluations, outcomes assessments, and medical presentations.

• Supply scientifically reliable medical information through pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and collaborations.

• Implement projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient-care initiatives, and non-interventional studies.

• Act as the Medical lead for assigned stakeholders by creating and executing Medical account plans.

• Engage with Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.

• Collaborate with internal Pfizer teams to comprehend outcomes of interest and data-analysis requirements.

• Identify and engage key external medical stakeholder segments.

• Address unsolicited medical inquiries in accordance with Pfizer policies and procedures.

• Lead advisory boards with managerial oversight.

• Manage incoming queries using the established triage process.

• Collaborate with Vaccines & Antivirals R&D and Global Product Development to pinpoint clinical trial sites, especially those serving under-represented patient populations.

• Offer Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Foster research and therapeutic-area expertise, including congress data and literature on disease states.

• Provide leadership for assets and territories.

• Communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups and deliver insights regarding patient-organization structures and requirements.

• Participate on Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical and professional associations and societies.

• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory-board participants, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a health science is required.

• Relevant experience is needed: PharmD/PhD with 5+ years, MBA/MSc with 7+ years, or BA/BSc with 8+ years of experience.

• A PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.

• Clinical, formulary, and/or management experience is required.

• Experience in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is essential.

• Recognized subject matter expertise in vaccines and/or antivirals among internal and external stakeholders.

• Superior oral and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a capacity to manage conflicts constructively.

• Ability to handle a high volume of projects in a remote environment, prioritize effectively, implement successfully, and exercise sound judgment.

• Ability to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team.

• Capacity to lead and adapt to organizational changes.

• Problem-solving skills across the enterprise to identify solutions.

• Leadership and teamwork capabilities with peers, internal stakeholders, and external medical stakeholders.

• Self-motivated individual who is accountable and possesses a sense of urgency.

• Proficient clinical and technical skills.

• Ability to swiftly adopt and utilize new digital technologies and document medical interactions.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations relating to Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions is preferred.

• Previous experience in Field Medical is preferred.

• Experience with health information technology utilized in the U.S. is preferred.

• Experience in optimizing/customizing major EHR platforms, including the development of EHR clinical solutions is preferred.

• Understanding of the intricate business environment within the U.S. healthcare system and emerging healthcare trends is preferred.

• Ability to operate a Pfizer company car and travel by air regularly.

• Must be located near an airline hub city.

• Flexibility to travel 40–50% of the time.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record that complies with company standards.

• Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citations within the past 7 years will disqualify the candidate.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. from any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available presently or in the future.
