This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver expertise in therapeutic areas and products to external medical stakeholders and initiatives within a designated territory.
• Strategically plan and implement engagement with assigned external medical stakeholders.
• Stay updated on pertinent therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer products.
• Provide medical information and relay insights from external stakeholders back to Pfizer.
• Contribute to the strategy for medical educational content and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
• Collaborate with Medical colleagues at headquarters, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.
• Present scientific communications through live and virtual formats, as well as written and telephonic interactions.
• Educate external medical stakeholders on gaps in patient care, disease states, and guideline-based practices.
• Deliver sanctioned medical content regarding Pfizer products and relevant therapeutic subjects.
• Communicate insights on clinical and economic impact, real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations.
• Execute projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care initiatives, and non-interventional studies in compliance with regulations.
• Lead assigned external medical stakeholder accounts and create Medical account plans for effective execution.
• Engage with Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and healthcare associations.
• Work alongside Pfizer colleagues to pinpoint outcomes of interest and data-analysis requirements.
• Provide accurate and scientifically validated information in response to unsolicited medical inquiries.
• Lead advisory boards under managerial supervision.
• Address inbound queries through the established triage process.
• Collaborate with Vaccines Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites, particularly in under-represented populations.
• Aid in the Investigator Sponsored Research process.
• Develop research and therapeutic-area expertise through congress data and literature on disease states.
• Provide leadership for both asset and territory.
• Communicate with Patient Advocacy Groups and share insights on patient organization structures and requirements.
• Serve on cross-functional committees related to Medical, therapeutic areas, and assets.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs at clinical and professional associations and societies.
• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory-board leads, and study leads.
• Take part in special projects as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health science is mandatory.
• Relevant experience is required: PharmD/PhD with 5+ years, MBA/MSc with 7+ years, or BA/BSc with 8+ years of experience.
• PharmD, PhD, or an equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.
• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.
• Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience is beneficial.
• Experience in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, the pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is desirable.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in vaccines among both internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to manage conflict constructively.
• Ability to manage a significant workload in a remote setting, prioritize tasks effectively, and make sound judgments.
• Capacity to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Clinical and technical competencies.
• Proficiency in quickly adopting and utilizing new digital technologies and resources, as well as documenting medical interactions.
• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations concerning Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions is preferred.
• Prior Field Medical experience is favored.
• Experience using health information technology within the U.S. healthcare system is preferred.
• Experience in optimizing/customizing leading EHR platforms and developing EHR clinical solutions is advantageous.
• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and emerging healthcare trends is preferred.
• Ability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle and travel by airplane regularly.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Candidates must have authorization to be employed in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
