This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver expert knowledge in therapeutic areas and vaccine products to external medical stakeholders and initiatives within the Northern Florida region.
• Develop and implement independent Medical strategies and engage with external medical stakeholders.
• Stay updated on pertinent therapeutic areas, diseases, and Pfizer products.
• Act as a liaison for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the strategy for Medical educational content and execute corresponding Field Medical tactics.
• Collaborate with Medical colleagues at headquarters, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.
• Present information live and virtually, and engage in written and verbal communications.
• Inform stakeholders about disease states, guideline-based care, clinical and economic impacts, real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations.
• Implement projects, collaborations, patient care projects, and non-interventional studies in compliance with regulations.
• Act as the Medical lead for designated stakeholders, formulating and executing Medical account plans, and spotting collaboration opportunities.
• Engage with healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.
• Work alongside internal Pfizer colleagues and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) on data analysis and outcomes needs.
• Provide scientifically substantiated information in response to unsolicited medical inquiries.
• Lead advisory boards under managerial oversight.
• Manage incoming inquiries through established triage processes.
• Facilitate the identification of clinical trial sites and under-represented patient populations.
• Offer Medical support during the Investigator Sponsored Research process.
• Develop expertise in research and therapeutic areas, including congress data and disease-state literature.
• Provide leadership for assets, communicating study designs, methodologies, data analysis, and interpretations.
• Lead the territory and maintain communication with local Patient Advocacy Groups.
• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in clinical/professional associations and societies.
• Mentor new partners, advisory board leads, and study leads.
• Engage in special projects as required.
• A medical degree (MD or DO) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is essential.
• Expertise in vaccines is required.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage conflicts constructively are critical.
• Capacity to handle a significant volume of projects in a remote setting, prioritize effectively, implement successfully, and demonstrate sound judgment.
• Ability to function within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to organizational changes are important.
• Strong clinical and technical skills are required.
• Proficiency in rapidly adopting and utilizing new digital technologies and documenting medical interactions is necessary.
• Familiarity with internal and external Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, and guidelines concerning Pfizer and external medical stakeholder interactions is preferred.
• Prior Field Medical experience is preferred.
• Experience with health information technology utilized in the U.S. is preferred.
• Background in optimizing or customizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms and developing EHR clinical solutions is preferred.
• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare business environment and emerging trends in healthcare is preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently, 40–50% of the time, is required.
• A valid U.S. driver's license and a driving record that complies with company standards are necessary.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
