This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Provide expertise in therapeutic areas and products related to vaccines and antivirals for external medical stakeholders within a designated U.S. territory.

• Strategically plan and implement independent Medical strategies and engage with designated external medical stakeholders.

• Keep abreast of pertinent therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medications.

• Act as a liaison for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.

• Contribute to the strategy for Medical educational content and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.

• Collaborate with colleagues from headquarters Medical, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.

• Communicate scientific information through live and virtual presentations, as well as written and telephonic communications.

• Provide education to external medical stakeholders regarding disease states, guideline-based care, patient care deficiencies, and population health.

• Present approved medical content regarding Pfizer medications and relevant therapeutic subjects.

• Articulate clinical and economic impacts using real-world data, pharmacoeconomic assessments, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations.

• Implement projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care initiatives, and non-interventional studies.

• Oversee assigned external medical stakeholder accounts and develop and implement Medical account strategies.

• Engage with healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.

• Partner with Pfizer colleagues to identify key outcomes and data analysis requirements.

• Compliantly respond to unsolicited medical information inquiries.

• Lead advisory boards under manager supervision.

• Manage inbound inquiries through the established triage process.

• Collaborate with Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites, including those serving under-represented patient populations.

• Provide Medical support during the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Develop therapeutic-area expertise and remain current with congress data and disease-state literature.

• Offer leadership in asset and territory management.

• Engage with local Patient Advocacy Groups and provide insights into patient organization structures and needs.

• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs at clinical/professional associations and societies.

• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory-board leads, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a health science is required.

• A PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Candidates should possess a PharmD/PhD with 5+ years of experience, an MBA/MSc with 7+ years of experience, or a BA/BSc with 8+ years of experience.

• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.

• Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience is beneficial.

• Experience in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is desired.

• Subject matter expertise in vaccines and/or antivirals is essential.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to manage conflict effectively are necessary.

• Proven ability to manage projects in a remote setting, prioritize tasks, implement solutions successfully, and demonstrate sound judgment.

• Ability to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team environment.

• Capacity to lead and manage organizational change effectively.

• Demonstrated clinical and technical proficiencies are required.

• Ability to swiftly adopt and utilize new digital technologies and resources.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions is preferred.

• Prior Field Medical experience is advantageous.

• Experience with health information technology utilized in the U.S. is preferred.

• Familiarity with optimizing/customizing leading EHR platforms and developing EHR clinical solutions is preferred.

• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare business landscape and emerging healthcare trends is preferred.

• Must be able to operate a Pfizer company vehicle and frequently travel by air.

• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time is required.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards are necessary.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Requires permanent work authorization in the United States.

• Sponsorship for a U.S. work visa is not available now or in the future.
