Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Tempus+ program.

• Act as the main medical liaison for Tempus+ institutions while developing relationships with both academic and community physicians.

• Promote research collaboration through the formation of working groups.

• Travel up to 20% for on-site support, training, and relationship management.

• Assist investigators in refining hypotheses and constructing research proposals.

• Offer scientific and technical assistance for navigating the Tempus+ Data Library via Lens.

• Collaborate on strategies for disclosure, presentation, and publication.

• Develop clinical investigation strategies in line with oncology standards.

• Provide medical insights and clinical context to internal data scientists, informaticians, and business development managers.

• Engage Tempus+ sites in Lens utilization, molecular tumor boards, data integration, and clinical trial portfolios.

• Present clinically focused information to medical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO or MD/DO/PhD with substantial background and clinical expertise in oncology or a closely related discipline.

• Proven experience in directing multi-site observational projects, clinical registries, and precision medicine initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge of medical informatics, advanced clinical data modeling, biomarker evaluation, genomic testing, and leveraging real-world data to address complex oncologic issues.

• Capacity to forge strong partnerships with significant cancer hospital networks.

• Proficiency in translating intricate molecular and technical data into clear, actionable clinical insights.

• Previous experience in sales, sales strategy, and marketing within commercial life science initiatives is preferred.
