This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver therapeutic-area and product knowledge for Vaccines to external medical stakeholders and initiatives within a designated territory.

• Strategize and implement independent Medical plans and engage with assigned external medical stakeholders.

• Stay informed about pertinent therapeutic areas, disease conditions, and Pfizer products.

• Act as a bridge for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.

• Contribute to the strategy for Medical educational content and execute related Field Medical initiatives.

• Present scientific information through both live and virtual formats, as well as written communications and telephonic or virtual discussions.

• Inform external medical stakeholders regarding patient care gaps, disease conditions, and guideline-conformed care practices.

• Share approved medical content concerning Pfizer products and relevant subjects.

• Discuss clinical and economic implications utilizing real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes assessments, and medical presentations.

• Provide unbiased, scientifically validated medical information using pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and partnerships.

• Carry out projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care initiatives, and non-interventional studies in accordance with compliance standards.

• Function as the Medical lead for designated stakeholders, crafting and executing Medical account strategies.

• Collaborate with Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.

• Work with Pfizer colleagues to discern outcomes of interest and data-analysis requirements.

• Recognize priority segments of external medical stakeholders and develop strategies for medical engagement.

• Address unsolicited medical inquiries in line with Pfizer guidelines.

• Lead advisory boards under managerial oversight.

• Manage incoming inquiries from external medical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Vaccines Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites, particularly those serving under-represented patient populations.

• Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Foster research and therapeutic-area expertise, including congress data and literature on disease states.

• Offer leadership in asset management and territory oversight.

• Engage with Patient Advocacy Groups and provide insights into the structures and needs of patient organizations.

• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical and professional associations and societies.

• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory-board leads, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in health science is mandatory.

• A PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree is strongly preferred.

• Relevant experience is essential: PharmD/PhD with 5+ years; MBA/MSc with 7+ years; BA/BSc with 8+ years.

• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.

• Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience is preferred.

• Experience in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is beneficial.

• Subject matter expertise in vaccines is required.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities are essential.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to manage conflict effectively are necessary.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a remote setting, prioritize tasks, implement effectively, and demonstrate sound judgment.

• Capacity to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team environment.

• Adaptability and agility in response to organizational changes are crucial.

• Demonstrated clinical and technical competencies are required.

• Proficient at quickly adopting and utilizing new digital technologies and resources while recording medical interactions.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations governing Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions is preferred.

• Previous Field Medical experience is a plus.

• Experience with health information technology utilized in the U.S. is preferred.

• Expertise in optimizing/customizing leading EHR platforms, including developing EHR clinical solutions, is preferred.

• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and emerging healthcare trends is advantageous.

• Ability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle and travel by air regularly is required.

• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time is essential.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards are mandatory.

• Any DUI/DWI or other impaired-driving citation within the last 7 years will disqualify the candidate.

• Candidates must possess authorization to be employed in the U.S. by any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
