This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement an independent Medical strategy and engage with assigned external medical stakeholders within a designated territory.

• Stay informed about relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medicines.

• Provide therapeutic area and product information to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Act as a liaison for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.

• Contribute to the strategy for Medical educational content and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.

• Collaborate with Medical colleagues at headquarters, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.

• Deliver scientific communications via live and virtual presentations, written formats, and telephone or virtual discussions.

• Integrate Health Literacy and cultural awareness principles into Medical communications and deliverables.

• Educate external medical stakeholders on patient care gaps, disease states, and guideline-based care practices.

• Present approved medical content relating to Pfizer medicines and pertinent therapeutic topics.

• Communicate clinical, economic, pharmacoeconomic, outcomes, and real-world data analyses.

• Execute projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care initiatives, and non-interventional studies in compliance with regulations.

• Act as the Medical lead for assigned external medical stakeholders, developing and executing Medical account plans.

• Engage with Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.

• Collaborate with internal Pfizer colleagues regarding outcomes of interest and data analysis needs.

• Identify and engage priority segments of external medical stakeholders.

• Provide accurate, scientifically supported information in response to unsolicited medical inquiries.

• Lead advisory boards with managerial oversight.

• Manage inbound queries through the established triage process.

• Collaborate with Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites.

• Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Cultivate expertise in research and therapeutic areas using congress data and disease-state literature.

• Provide leadership for assets and territories.

• Communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups and offer insights on the structures and needs of patient organizations.

• Serve on cross-functional committees related to Medical, therapeutic areas, and assets.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in clinical and professional associations and societies.

• Mentor onboarding, advisory board, and study leads.

• Participate in special projects as required.

• Travel 40–50% of the time for external stakeholder meetings and NYHQ engagements.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO Degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.

• Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience is beneficial.

• Experience in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is preferred.

• Recognized subject matter expertise in vaccines and/or antivirals among internal and external stakeholders.

• Superior oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively manage conflict.

• Capability to manage a substantial volume of projects developed in a remote environment, prioritize effectively, successfully implement, and demonstrate excellent judgment.

• Ability to collaborate within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team environment.

• Capacity to lead change and exhibit change agility.

• Strong problem-solving and enterprise-wide networking abilities.

• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, accountability, self-initiative, and a sense of urgency.

• Proficient clinical and technical skills.

• Capability to quickly adopt and utilize new digital technologies and document medical interactions.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding interactions and relationships with Pfizer/external medical stakeholders.

• Previous experience in Field Medical roles is preferred.

• Experience with health information technology utilized in the U.S. is preferred.

• Experience in the optimization/customization of leading EHR platforms, including developing EHR clinical solutions, is preferred.

• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and emerging healthcare trends is preferred.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards are required.

• Candidates must have authorization to be employed in the U.S. by any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
