This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Offer specialized knowledge in therapeutic areas and products related to Vaccines & Antivirals to external medical stakeholders and initiatives within a designated U.S. territory.

• Strategically plan and implement independent Medical engagement with assigned external medical stakeholders.

• Stay informed about pertinent therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medications.

• Act as a liaison for Medical Information and insights from external medical stakeholders.

• Assist in the development of Medical educational content strategy and execute corresponding Field Medical tactics.

• Convey scientific information through live and virtual presentations, written communication, and phone or virtual discussions.

• Inform external medical stakeholders about patient care gaps, disease states, and guideline-based care.

• Deliver authorized medical content regarding Pfizer medications and other relevant subjects.

• Educate on the clinical and economic implications using real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations.

• Provide objective, scientifically valid medical information through pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational initiatives, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and partnerships.

• Comply with guidelines while executing projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care projects, and non-interventional studies.

• Act as the Medical lead for designated external medical stakeholders and develop as well as execute Medical account plans.

• Engage with healthcare stakeholders, including Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.

• Collaborate with Pfizer colleagues and HEOR on data analysis needs and outcomes of interest.

• Identify and engage key external medical stakeholder segments.

• Address unsolicited medical inquiries while adhering to Pfizer guidelines and procedures.

• Lead advisory boards with oversight from management.

• Manage inbound inquiries through the established triage process.

• Partner with Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites, particularly those serving under-represented patient populations.

• Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Enhance research and therapeutic area knowledge through congress data and disease-state literature.

• Demonstrate strong leadership in asset management and territory oversight.

• Communicate with Patient Advocacy Groups to provide insights on patient organization structures and needs.

• Participate in Medical, therapeutic area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in clinical/professional associations and societies.

• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory board leads, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.

• Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience is beneficial.

• Background in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is preferred.

• Recognized subject matter expertise in vaccines and/or antivirals among internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities and capacity to negotiate conflict constructively.

• Capability to manage a high volume of projects in a remote setting, effectively prioritize, successfully implement, and exercise sound judgment.

• Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team environment.

• Competence to lead and adapt to organizational changes.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to network across the enterprise.

• Clinical and technical proficiency.

• Capacity to quickly adopt and utilize new digital technologies and document medical interactions.

• Preferred familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions.

• Previous Field Medical experience is favored.

• Experience with health information technology utilized in the U.S. is preferred.

• Familiarity with optimization/customization of leading EHR platforms, including the development of EHR clinical solutions, is preferred.

• Understanding of the complex business landscape within the U.S. healthcare system and emerging healthcare trends is advantageous.

• Ability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle and travel by air regularly.

• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time is required.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards are necessary.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is mandatory.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not currently available and will not be in the future.
