📋 Description

• Deliver therapeutic-area and product expertise to external medical stakeholders and initiatives within a designated U.S. territory.

• Strategize and implement independent Medical plans and engage with assigned external medical stakeholders.

• Stay informed about relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer's medications.

• Provide medical information and relay insights from external medical stakeholders to Pfizer.

• Contribute to the strategy for Medical educational content and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.

• Communicate scientific information through live and virtual presentations, written correspondence, and phone or virtual discussions.

• Educate external medical stakeholders about patient care gaps, disease states, and guideline-based care.

• Present approved medical content regarding Pfizer's medicines and pertinent topics.

• Share real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations.

• Offer scientifically robust information using pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and collaborative efforts.

• Implement projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient care initiatives, and non-interventional studies.

• Act as the Medical lead for assigned stakeholders, developing and executing Medical account plans.

• Engage with Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations.

• Collaborate with Pfizer colleagues, including Key Account Managers, Account Directors, PHI, Field Medical, Headquarters Medical, and HEOR.

• Address unsolicited medical inquiries in accordance with Pfizer's guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Lead advisory boards with managerial oversight.

• Handle incoming stakeholder queries through the established triage process.

• Collaborate with Vaccines Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify clinical trial sites, particularly in under-represented populations.

• Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Enhance research and therapeutic-area expertise through congress data and disease-state literature.

• Provide asset leadership and comprehend study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation.

• Manage the assigned territory and offer insights into local patient organizations and population needs.

• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs at clinical and professional associations and societies.

• Mentor new partners, advisory-board members, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO Degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is advantageous.

• Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience is preferred.

• Experience in Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, the pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement is beneficial.

• Expertise in vaccines is essential.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to manage conflict constructively are important.

• Ability to handle a significant volume of projects in a remote setting, prioritize effectively, implement successfully, and exercise sound judgment.

• Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team environment.

• Capability to lead change and adapt to organizational transitions.

• Clinical and technical skills are necessary.

• Ability to quickly adopt and utilize new digital technologies and document medical interactions.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions is preferred.

• Previous Field Medical experience is advantageous.

• Experience applying health information technology within the U.S. healthcare system is preferred.

• Experience in optimizing/customizing leading EHR platforms, including developing EHR clinical solutions is preferred.

• Understanding of the complex U.S. healthcare landscape and emerging healthcare trends is preferred.

• Ability to operate a Pfizer company car and travel by air regularly.

• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time is required.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards are necessary.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
