
UX Lead, Public Website and CMS Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Spearhead the discovery and experience strategy for intricate public website redesigns and CMS migrations.
• Evaluate the existing Forge/OpenText website, encompassing content, information architecture, navigation, templates, functionality, and member journeys.
• Determine what elements should be retained, enhanced, consolidated, redesigned, or phased out.
• Establish the desired public website experience and set experience principles.
• Lead discovery sessions and decision-making workshops with executives, marketing, digital, technology, and business stakeholders.
• Oversee the development of information architecture, navigation, taxonomy, and content hierarchy.
• Collaborate on content audits, prioritization, and migration decisions.
• Simplify complex financial data and create pathways to products, services, rates, calculators, educational content, branch and ATM information, support, and account opening.
• Assist in establishing scalable content models and page structures for CMS authors.
• Integrate SEO and findability into navigation, content structure, and page design.
• Map priority journeys from the public website into account opening, digital banking, and third-party platforms.
• Identify gaps, friction points, and inconsistencies across connected experiences.
• Develop personas, journey maps, or service blueprints as necessary.
• Convert business objectives into quantifiable website outcomes.
• Leverage research, analytics, and usability testing to support recommendations.
• Produce sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed interaction specifications.
• Define or refine the website design system and reusable CMS component library.
• Collaborate with the CMS Technical Lead and Front-End Lead during the implementation phase.
• Review implemented pages and components, identify gaps, and assist in remediation before launch.
• Integrate WCAG accessibility requirements from the outset.
• Present research findings, recommendations, and design choices to senior credit union stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions that balance marketing, technology, compliance, and business priorities.
• Position the public website as a vital component of the broader Forge transformation.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in website UX, digital experience, information architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading complex, content-rich public website redesigns or CMS migrations.
• A portfolio showcasing public website projects, including information architecture, navigation, content strategy, wireframes, and responsive page design.
• Experience in conducting website and content audits, providing evidence-based recommendations regarding retention, redesign, consolidation, or retirement.
• Strong understanding of CMS-driven design, content models, templates, reusable components, and authoring requirements.
• Experience in creating or enhancing website design systems and component libraries.
• In-depth knowledge of responsive design and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with SEO, website analytics, conversion optimization, and usability testing.
• Exceptional workshop facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to work at both strategic and detailed design levels.
• Ability to engage directly with executives, marketing leaders, digital teams, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams.
• Must reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience with credit unions, banks, insurance companies, or other regulated organizations is preferred.
• Background in designing financial services websites and journeys involving products, rates, calculators, applications, account opening, or authenticated banking is preferred.
• Experience in migrating websites from OpenText or other enterprise CMS platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with content governance, migration planning, and authoring workflows is preferred.
• Experience in defining analytics frameworks and measurable website experience outcomes is preferred.
